They changed to Fat 50вЂ™s for a few years before the performer came out. The вЂњStandardвЂќ US Stratocasters became the Performer and used different pickups (Yosemite). Early American Standard are actually the same as Tex Mex but the delta version has screws in the bridge pickup. They do have some very common features that are very identifiable. The modified Tex Mex version and the Fat 50s (see my custom shop, retail page). The American Standard pickups are rather tricky because they changed over the years but the standard basically had 2 versions. In fact, it was not uncommon for Fender Stratocaster to come from the same line (I got a American Special that the neck said Highway 1 Line straight from fender). Not the same as American Special and American Performer (2018-2020) but in the same вЂњlineвЂќ.

The output frequencies are rather flat for the neck and middle with slightly milder treble, but the treble is accented for the bridge and itвЂ™s a bit hotter.

Pole pieces are Staggered (different heights).

Because this number is SO common I would rather expect it.

Numbers:В IвЂ™ve seen lots of pictures but these numbers are the VERY consistent. The main diff IвЂ™ve seen is that the US came out with the DELTA version of the bridge. Also, sometimes US Pickups are marked as Tex Mex for the same reason. Often these are posted as вЂњAmericanвЂќ because they have been released on AM Standard Stratocasters (and other AM models) in the past which causes confusion. They were used on many American Standard Stratocasters as were the Fat 50s. Their pricing is slightly more than MIM Ceramics but end to be slightly less than Stock American. That said, some pickups, like the noiseless ones, are very easy to identify. The best way to identify them is often by looks and measurements combined. More pickups are getting added and the editorial comments are getting updated constantly.ДЇender typically has no вЂњsetвЂќ look for their pickups and often no number scheme or another unique identifier written on the pickup itself. NOTE: This information is subject to change and IвЂ™m updating it all the time as I run into new or conflicting information. ItвЂ™s not worth my time given all the amazing pickups that are available out there right now both used and new. Dealing with those old pickups is a complete game of вЂњ itвЂ™s overpriced, it could be fake, itвЂ™s hard to tell, and anybodys guessвЂњ.
